Your submission at Articles for creation: Charity Concert: Four Together (December 22)

- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.

- I am ready to give up. I have been trying to get this content approved in different formats for more than three months. It was requested to me by the son of one of the performers, and I provided links to actual news accounts, the songs performed, an advertisement promoting it and several articles from people who were in attendance. At every turn, I have been rejected. I have used the sandbox and beginners sections in the hopes of meeting the appropriate criteria. Since this even occurred 44 years ago and two of the performers (Harry Chapin and John Denver) are decreased, I am not sure what else I can do. I welcome any specific suggestions. If not, I will just let this be retired and tell Harry's son I was unable to get it published. Bpin604 (talk) 20:49, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Bpin604, I found and added another source. I suggest taking a look at A Concert for Charlottesville to get a feel for how to structure it. In reading Michael Peterrman's article, I would not describe it as a first-person account because he did not attend the concert. I would describe it as a retrospective. Also, I would remove the information about the YouTube video. A link to it might be acceptable in an External link section but need to ensure it is not a copyright violation (see WP:YOUTUBE). You do not need to make it as robust as A Concert for Charlottesville. It's more about the structure and simply summarizing what the sources said about concert.
- Once you have "brushed up" the draft, you can resubmit it. Let me know when you do. Click the "talk" link by my signature which will take you to my talk page where you can leave me a message.
- On another note, since you do have a relationship with the son of one the performers, you do need to declare your conflict of interest (read this) with regard to the performer (see WP:COIDECLARE). If you have questions or need help, you can ask at the Teahouse. S0091 (talk) 18:24, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
