Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page David Luiz, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Theo Walcott. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 07:05, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Blake, I know you may be wondering why your addition of external links have been reverted. Well Wikipedia has strict policies in relation to the addition of external links which state you should avoid linking to a site that you own, maintain, or represent. Given you're a head editor at Footballfanfc.com it is a major conflict of interest to be inserting external links into Wikipedia to that website. COI editing involves contributing to Wikipedia to promote your own interests, including your business, or those of your external relationships, such as with family, friends or employers. When an external relationship undermines, or could reasonably be said to undermine, your role as a Wikipedian, you have a conflict of interest. Therefore I ask that you do not persist with the addition of these links as you may find yourself blocked. Given you have a keen interest in football it would be great if you continued to edit Wikipedia in a more constructive manor and add your knowledge to the encyclopedia.
