- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Civilization. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 07:21, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Civilization
[edit]I've removed the images you added and the images that were there before. None of them seem appropriate in this article. I note that in a general article covering the whole world it would be unusual to have two images from the same geographic area in any case, particularly in an article with so few images. Hello
[edit]Hey Bismayash. I saw you mentioned recently in Cyrus the Great article that you believed Cyrus was never King of Aryavarta. I actually looked for it and found the source cited #2 in the link. This source does state that he was in control. However, for the most part the history of Persian presence in the eastern border is not certain so I am really open to suggestions. Do you have any particular source that states that he was not (at least for a period) in control of Aryvarat, politically or through conquest? Please discuss with me. I respect your opinion and your input is most welcomed =]. Again there is no hiding that there is not many sources stating that claim, so please discuss with me on my page or here and we can work something out. I personally am in favor of keeping it because at least one source states it but again I like to hear your side. Thank you =] Dr. Persi (talk) 22:48, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
