Invitation
[edit]
As there is a Wikipedia article about you, you are cordially invited to contribute a short audio recoding of your spoken voice, so that our readers may know what you sound like and how you pronounce your name. Details of how to do so, and examples, are at Wikipedia:Voice intro project. You can ask for help or clarification on the project talk page, or my talk page. DYK for Dennis Lo
[edit]On 15 September 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Dennis Lo, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in 2011, Yuk-Ming Dennis Lo developed a non-invasive prenatal diagnosis method for detecting Down syndrome using maternal blood plasma? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dennis Lo. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

I hope that Dennis Lo will get a Nobel Prize in the near future for his contribution to the Non-Invasive Prenatal Diagnostics (NIPD) using fetal cell-free circulating DNA in the mother's peripheral blood. This new simple procedure is in mainstream use today and it dramatically reduced the need for risky invasive procedures like cordocentesis, amneocentesis and CVS saving countless lives and paving the way for prenatal medicine. Dr. Lo and his collaborator, Dr Charles Cantor are role models for many scientists. I am very happy that this article was featured on he main page. Biogerontology (talk) 09:31, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
