Hi Benison,

Recently I was searching for some information on soil and came through the article Soil. It is a highly detailed article, as someone would expect from a wikipedia article. While reading it I was on the "Contamination" section of it, which has some information about the Biosolids. About Biosolids I earlier read on website claydondrill in of their article related to soil health. So I just added a brief about Biosolids on your article and provided a ref. link to the blog on claydondrill, hoping that users will get to know more about soil health and their aspect.

However you have removed that link stating it as an inappropriate content for the Encyclopedia. It is fine if you don't want to add that ref. to your article. But I am adding it's link Soil Health in this message for you to go through it. If you think that blog can help users to gain some more information regarding the Soil Health then please let me know, I can add the Biosolid's information and ref. link again to your article.

Once more I would like to appreciate your work and expecting some more such articles on Wikipedia in the future.

Thanks 14.194.97.174 (talk) 06:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

NAC Closure of AfD

Hi Benison, I just became away of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising and was somewhat surprised by the closing statement based on the discussion that took place. FWIW, I do agree with the ultimate outcome. Several of those keep !votes were from people whom I've had conflicting AfD positions in the past, so I didn't actually find their arguments convincing either. But with the majority of !votes and, more significantly, the vast majority of words on page, I would have expected at least a passing mention. Cheers! TiggerJay(talk) 15:58, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the message. I don't exactly remember this closing and it's been an year almost. Also, those were the early days of my AfD closures. Liz and other admins have guided me back then about the NACs and I think I have gotten better since. Hence, speaking retrospectively, if I were to close it now, I'll definitely add a note summarizing the discussion. Thanks again for pointing it out and happy editing :) — Benison (Beni · talk) 17:41, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
Oh wow, somehow I missed that it was that long ago otherwise I wouldn't have even brought it up! Somehow I was under the impression it was this month... It was late when I posted that and ought to have known better. Sorry about that! Happy editing! TiggerJay(talk) 17:55, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
Tiggerjay, No worries. Always happy with constructive inputs. Happy editing :) — Benison (Beni · talk) 19:29, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello! This is an announcement that The Downlink has been revived. Rather than simply start again, I have chosen to create two special issues recapping the past three years. The first special issue spans November 2021 to December 2023, while the second special issue spans January 2024 to December 2024.

Due to the size of these pages, as well as the fact that they are non-standard issues, I have instead had this notice sent out. The following issues of volume 3 (Jan - Dec 2025) should be significantly smaller.

Please be aware that, for a variety of reasons, the issues that I create may be published late.

Here are the issues:

Non-admin closes at WP:AFD

Benison, I reverted your close at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/George de Meo as a no consensus close in this context was not appropriate. No participants advocated keeping the article, so the only possible outcomes in this case were either delete or redirect. An AFD admin would have made a choice based on those two closes. Per WP:NACD, Close calls and controversial decisions are better left to admins. Anything involving a choice between deletion and an WP:ATD should not be closed by non-admin. The only types of closes you can do are either withdrawal closes where the nominator has withdrawn their nomination and there are no delete supporters, or non-controversial ones where there is a majority consensus to keep the article or a majority consensus for an WP:ATD such as a merge or redirect. Neither of these was the case at this AFD. Best. 4meter4 (talk) 21:06, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the message. I closed it as no consensus due to two relists where no discussion was held for 14 days and clearly there was no consensus to delete either. Instead of reverting it as BADNAC, a message here would have sufficed, where I myself would have reverted it and relisted. Anyways, let's see if this relist will make some consensus. Thanks and happy editing :) — Benison (Beni · talk) 08:25, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
