Hello! Couple days back you have deleted most of my additions on page Rakvere. Can you explain little bit that why those entries didn't fit? Majandus6 (talk) 10:51, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tere, Majandus6! Thank you for asking. I felt that the information was too specific, and not the kinds of things that you usually find on pages for towns, including other Estonian towns, although maybe I should have changed the sentence on Rakvere having bus/train connections to say something about the bus and train stations, and the rail line Rakvere is on.--Axeman89 (talk) 14:17, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for explanation! This was good notion. I will keep that in mind when I do next changes. I will look that bus and train station part.Majandus6 (talk) 15:11, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds great!--Axeman89 (talk) 15:34, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I descend from John Pool, senator from NC.

I don't think he was involved wit the Red Stringers and traveled through mountains of VA.

He had cousins in VA with the same name. He became a Union sympathiser, but he was involved with the NC government in Raleigh during the time period you mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1003:B465:253D:6E42:160A:1B7:8176 (talk) 14:30, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please tell me what I did wrong. I assure you it was an accident. Axeman89 22:33, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies if I mistakenly flagged you. Sometimes looking at the diffs it gets confusing who posted what. I'm battling the vandals too and it looks like I accidentally sent out some friendly fire. Mea Culpa. SnappingTurtle 14:40, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! I may have done it myself once (either that, or accidentally defended a vandal). Axeman89 00:11, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Jack Thompson Biography

[edit]

This may not be the right place for this, but I am new to wikipedia - you recently scolded me for the "vandalism" of the Jack Thompson Biography - the only thing I edited in that article was a bit of bad grammar and strange sentence structure - I really don't understand how that constitutes vandalising someone elses work? Pentagram6 16:25, 14 October 2006

Sorry. As you can see above, I've had that happen to myself as well. I apologize. Check your old page. Axeman89 07:19, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New wiki

[edit]

Hello, I followed your depression userbox here, I'm looking for people who might be interested in a new wiki I'm working on. It's for and about people with depression. Hopefully it will be a good, comprehensive site one day, but right now it's a couple of articles and some help pages. If you are interested in having a look and maybe contributing, please come on over. It's at Wikicities, Jimbo and Angela's wiki-hosting project. The url is http://depression.wikicities.com . Nadir and Zenith

[edit]

I reverted your reverts on BattleTech technology. If you compare the definitions of the two original words you'll notice that the meaning in the BattleTech Universe is something completely different. The sentence doesn't even parse; maybe the gravity above and below a star is lower than elsewhere in the BattleTech universe (which would be a silly idea in our universe), but Nadir and Zenith:

  • are not at a certain place relative to a body, only relative to a body and an observer and
  • are not limited to suns nor usually found on suns, since the observer must be on the surface of the body.

Please let's work on an alternative phrase if you don't like the current one. --Yooden

Thanks for the heads up, although I believe that that song was likely as public domain as "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." I didn't post the lyrics, did I?

You didn't post the lyrics, I just saw that you tagged the article with "cleanup". Spieluhr is a song by Rammstein, released in 2001. Definately not PD. ~MDD4696 17:35, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PTSD, CSR, Railway Spine -> Combination

[edit]

There does not appear to be any discussion on combining these three articles, which you tagged on or about June 23, 2006. It appears that CSR is a subset of PTSD and should not be combined directly with PTSD. Railway Spine appears to just be another name (earlier incarnation) for PTSD and should be combined, although maybe just with a one line comment. This is just my opinion of course. Do we need a further consensus, or may this work be done with only one interested discusser? - Yendor 22:51, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think the better parts of the railway spine article could be added to the PTSD article, but I don't have the time to do it myself, at least for the next week. Axeman89 13:37, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's LGBT Community

[edit]

Hi, Axeman89!
You've indicated through various means (a userbox, membership in a category, etc) that you are part of the Wikipedia LGBT community, or are interested in Wikipedia's LGBT related pages. Welcome!

You may not know that Wikipedia has both an LGBT Notice Board and an LGBT Studies WikiProject. If you haven't yet done so, take a look at both of them. They sorely need attention and participation!

Some things on the "To-Do List" that merit particular attention include:

  1. Identifying topics/pages that need attention
  2. Identifying problems that need addressing
  1. Adding the LGBT template to appropriate pages
  2. Categorizing LGBT pages

Please feel free to participate in any or all of these activities! And if you feel like it, add yourself to either the Noticeboard Members or the WikiProject Participants - or both!

Glad you're a part of Wikipedia - and Thanks! This invitation posted here by SatyrTN -- talk
Please remove it if you so desire.

Thanks

NATO grades/EST national ranks

[edit]

Hi

Hopefully you can change NATO grades and EST military ranks matrix. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Estonian_Defence_Forces

Correct would be:

OR-1 No insignia OR-2 Kapral OR-3 Nooremseersant, seersant OR-4 Vanemseersant OR-5 Nooremveebel OR-6 Veebel OR-7 Vanemveebel OR-8 Staabiveebel OR-9 :Ulembeebel

Also picture "Estonian Soldier" is out of date by uniform. Newer ones are available here: http://www.mil.ee/~fotek/gallery/albums.php

Cheers

D.

Clan Snow Raven

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Clan Snow Raven, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Clan Snow Raven. I use a program called Huggle to remove vandalism quickly. When an account vandalizes after receiving a Level 4 warning, Huggle automatically reports the account to WP:AIV. You need rollback privileges to use it. It's really handy for blatant vandalism. --NellieBly (talk) 08:11, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I assumed you were using a program, but that you were manually making the changes yourself. Axeman89 (talk) 08:14, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, but I do choose which edits to revert, and blatant vandalism is usually pretty obvious so it can be reverted immediately. --NellieBly (talk) 08:32, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:57, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see you put a contradict flag on the NVI F.K.31 article. I can't see any contradictions in it, so I have removed the tag. If I've missed the contradiction, please feel free to put the tag back, and leave a note on the talk page to expalin what the contradiction is. Cheers -- WORMMЯOW  12:05, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the edit. I have no idea why I put in the contradiction tag, especially since I don't seem to have mentioned it on the talk page. Perhaps I found it peculiar that the tiny, poor Finnish Air Force of the 1920s would purchase and fly 12 planes for a mere 6 total hours? Axeman89 (talk) 21:35, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

HMS Petard

[edit]

Hi Axeman89
I see that on going through the edit history for the Petard article, on 13 March at 0639, in "the Far East part two" section, para 1, you changed 'machine' to 'airplane'.
I originally put 'machine' in as a neutral adjective (as per the MoS); it would also be in keeping with the period. 'Airplane' is, I believe, American English, but to have 'areoplane' (British English) in the same line as 'aircraft' is no better as it would not be very good writing, (and as it now is with 'airplane').
In addition, 'airplane' did not seem right in an article about a RN ship. If the article was about a USS, it would be a different matter.

Regards

RASAM (talk) 13:58, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that this was a typo. I've reverted it, since it's not clear what your intent was. Regards, Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 05:58, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's partially a typo. Referring to “the WWII conflicts” seemed a bit redundant, so I removed that part, but seem to have also accidentally removed the word “from.” If you agree with my change, you can make it, but with the word “from,” included this time, otherwise feel free to leave it alone. I'll leave the change to you. Axeman89 (talk) 15:55, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense. I've now made the adjustment. Regards, Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 17:41, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Canton of Schaffhausen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Canton (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:53, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
