Welcome

[edit]

Hello, Aldernodules, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Monty845 16:28, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New page patrollers

[edit]

New page patrollers, please go easy on me! I seem to have suffered from some over-enthusiastic ones. Quotations from http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:New_pages_patrol

"Throughout the entire process of new pages patrol, it is important to remember not to bite the newbies." "a pointer or two of feedback about how they can make their contributions even better" "Be hesitant to list articles on Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion if there's a chance they could be improved and made into a meaningful article. Tag them for cleanup instead. Try not to step on people's toes. Users will often start an article as the briefest of stubs, and then expand it over the following hours or days."

I've cleaned up the citations per our normal method of using citation templates WP:FURG but you could add page numbers to citations 2 & 3. Interesting topic and nice job but could do with an image if you know of a freely licenced one or can take one yourself. Well done. ww2censor (talk) 10:50, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
