[edit]Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - I'm confused. How is it that you're able to undo my revert but I risk being blocked if I undo yours? Is it one rule for one and one rule for another? 81.140.89.191 (talk) 09:45, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- No, the three-revert rule applies to everyone. DrKay (talk) 09:47, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why you keep undoing my edits and changing Queen Adelaide and Queen Alexandra back to "Queen of the United Kingdom" instead of "Queen Consorts of the United Kingdom." Why is that? King Charles has not changed royal legislation to say that Camilla is of a different rank or title than any other Queen Consorts in history - regardless of whether Camilla chooses to go by The Queen Consort or The Queen. Her chosen spoken title matters not. Therefore, there needs to be consistency with how the previous Queen Consorts are addressed - i.e. they are all Queen Consorts of the United Kingdom and not Queen's of the United Kingdom. 81.140.89.191 (talk) 09:55, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

Blocked
[edit]You were warned, and have been reverted many times by many editors. DrKay (talk) 13:04, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- I have been reverted most times by you personally - and it appears you have used your privileges to block me whilst retaining your personal edit. This is a vile abuse of power and I would like to escalate this further. To whom can I raise a complaint about your deplorable attitude? 81.140.89.191 (talk) 13:23, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Me, if you like. I'm quite happy to unblock you if you acknowledge that it's wrong to edit war and promise not to do so. DrKay (talk) 13:33, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
You personally revert my contributions so are you not also engaged in an edit war? Is there someone I can report you to so that you too receive a block for 31 hours? Or are Wikipedia moderators above the rules? Absolutely disgusting attitude. One rule for the high and mighty and another rule for us lowly peasants, eh? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.140.89.191 (talk • contribs)
- There are instructions at Wikipedia:Appealing a block. DrKay (talk) 13:45, 19 September 2022 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
