- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Hi. The problem with this is that you keep adding your version in just in front of a reference that supports the current version. It's great that you know them, but that's not a verifiable source - please see WP:RS. So you need to find something that confirms your version, and replace the current reference with that one. I know this sounds crazy when you know that something is right, from your own personal knowledge. I have been in that situation myself here. Nevertheless the policy here is that verifiability trumps truth - see WP:V for more on this. It certainly seems odd but then how can someone check that what you know is correct? They can't, and, unless they change the rules, that's why it can't be here. Have you followed the reference? It does support what the article says. OK, you say it's wrong, but you probably need to find a better reference - one that supports your version - and use that. I hope this helps. best wishes DBaK (talk) 17:14, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Charlie Webster. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
