Orphaned non-free media (File:Super Bass screenshot.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Super Bass screenshot.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:31, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be edit warring at Nicki Minaj. Multiple editors have removed that material, yet you continue to restore it. If you want it to be restored, start a discussion at Talk:Nikki Minaj and get other editors to agree to the conclusion. If you continue to restore the material without consensus, you will be blocked from further editing.—Kww(talk) 22:15, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I see that there has been an issue recently regarding the images on the Nicki Minaj article. I opened a discussion regarding the situation on the talk page of that article and would deeply value your perspective. Please see Talk:Nicki Minaj#Infobox image for the relevant discussion. Nicki Minaj

[edit]

Hey there, Ken-Barb. Noticed we disagree on some changes made to the Nicki Minaj article. Can we talk about it? I opened up a section on her talk page. Here's a link: Talk:Nicki Minaj#Rapping technique. Hope to see you there. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 22:03, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. And I don't refer to myself a Ken-Barb but thank you. And I will be on the page.--1flyguyrob (talk) 22:05, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize if I offended you. I was only trying to be friendly :). By the way, I noticed that you were making some more changes to Nicki Minaj and would like to discuss them with you. I left a detailed explanation for why I undid those edits on Talk:Nicki Minaj#Rapping technique that I would like you to take a look at and consider. I'm sorry for removing them; you probably spent quite a bit of time working on it, and I know how it feels to have your work completely removed; it pisses me off, frankly, and discourages me from even contributing to Wikipedia. I want you to understand, 1flyguyrob, that I do not aim to attack you personally, I only want to help you realize what we ought to do for the article and to prevent further reversions of your work in the future. As a fan of the subject, it may be difficult to write in such a way that does not promote the subject. Sadly, we can't promote Nicki Minaj (although I doubt she needs our promotions; she is one of the best-selling artists of our time). We can, however, offer verifiable information from confirmed experts that provokes readers to conclude what they want about the artist. If you ever have any questions on what is acceptable in terms of wording, or if you can't tell if a source is reliable or not, I'd be more than happy to help. After all, that's the point of a writing an encyclopedia collaboratively -- team work. Take care now! :D --Thevampireashlee (talk) 03:37, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:MinajNEWPerfumeUK.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:MinajNEWPerfumeUK.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:14, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Hey.

I had no intentions of starting an edit war, I just saw a large revision reverted with no explanation. I see what you mean, I didn't mean to take away from its quality. Clappers

[edit]

I redirected the "Clappers" article because the song is not not notable yet, and it has not charted or even been released as a single same with the "Twerk It" article, and please leave questions on my talk page not on my user page. Koala15 (talk) 20:25, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

May you please revert those redirects back to article, because though they haven't charted doesn't mean they aren't notable, these songs need pages because they are official singles from the artist and their having music videos shot to them. That's very selfish to delete two articles that I've worked on and other administrators who have reviewed them have also had no problem with them. --1flyguyrob (talk) 20:41, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Those songs can't have articles cause they have not charted read WP:NSONGS, also please stop vandalizing pages or you may be blocked from editing. Koala15 (talk) 20:47, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism? Really? I don't consider my editing to be vandalism but okay. If I'm blocked I'm sure you will be next for reverting good faith edits. --1flyguyrob (talk) 20:58, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Myx Fusions, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. DGG ( talk ) 18:48, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:PFDeluxeEdition.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

– Recollected 19:40, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

photo

[edit]

Dear 1flyguyrob, I noticed a photo you uploaded of Nicki Minaj says that the author said it was a free photo. This is cool that you found a photo with this license however, looking at the flickr page it doesn't seem like it is actually from someone who is a photographer. I'm going to check out the photo's terms and source. --South19 (talk) 04:43, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:NickiMinajCollectionLogo.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:NickiMinajCollectionLogo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:02, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

PTAF Article

[edit]

Hey! My apologies for the late reply. Relating to the PTAF article, you asked if I could assist you in adding more information in order to improve the article. My knowledge about the subject at hand is unfortunately extremely limited, though. The best suggestion I can give would be finding and adding relevant information by using other music groups' pages as references, especially ones with an abundance of information and clean articles. D12 and The Beatles are good places to start. Your article also needs some more citations from secondary sources in order to reach Wikipedia's standards! Finding those will also result in finding more information and cleaning up the quality of it. Things are coming along nicely regardless! Triforcebear (talk) 17:52, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:RemyMa2014.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:RemyMa2014.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 23:16, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Bad Girls Club (season 14), but we cannot accept original research. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on CupcakKe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Bad Girls Club: Social Disruption

[edit]

Please do not continue to create Bad Girls Club: Social Disruption. As a minimum, a season article requires an episode table. At this time, the only verifiable information is the cast list, and that is not sufficient for a season article, which should not be at Bad Girls Club: Social Disruption. The correct location is Bad Girls Club (season 16), which is currently protected because it is too early for a season article. --AussieLegend () 04:17, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Regarding this edit summary, it is not your article. Editors do not own articles and you are expected to comply with Wikipedia polices and guidelines. Your edit summary is also in error claiming there is an episode table. The article contains no episode table, only a cast table, which is the only thing that is sourced. --AussieLegend () 19:01, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on CupcakKe, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. This article has been created several times and as you can see at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CupcakKe, has been previously nominated for deletion. Your version, in my estimation, doesn't improve upon previous versions. If you plan to create articles, you need to be familiar with WP:GNG and for musicians WP:NMUSIC. The first thing you should do when creating any article, is be sure that you have properly established notability. Interviews do not properly establish notability because they are considered primary sources, and someone talking about how important they are is never a trustworthy source for establishing how important they are. When other people take notice and write in depth pieces on the subject independently, then you'll have an argument for how important they are.
