Welcome!
[edit]Hello! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

Bypassing redirects
[edit]There is no need to bypass redirects, as you have done with most of your edits to date. In most cases this is just pointless as it makes no difference other than clogging the page history, but in some cases linking via a redirect is actually beneficial. Examples of the latter include redirects ending "(disambiguation)" as these make it clear the link is intentional (most links to disambiguation pages are mistakes, with one specific topic being intended); and disambiguation pages tagged as {{R with possibilities}} where the redirect may be converted into an article at a later date. - It is every Wikipedia user's duty to know what they are linking to. 193.181.34.233 (talk) 12:22, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
- I explained last time why the links to redirects can be correct, the people creating these links do know what they are linking to and do so intentionally. Do not change them again. Thryduulf (talk) 16:18, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
