Pinoy Big Brother titles

[edit]

Which is the correct title the news article or the official facebook pages. News articles can be wrong with the title sometimes but in the article it's Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Collab. But on the facebook Pages it says Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition. Which title would be the official one?

Hi there! I see that both "Celebrity Edition Collab" and "Celebrity Collab Edition" are used in the Pinoy Big Brother article. I suggest discussing this on Talk:Pinoy Big Brother to gain consensus with other editors. Happy editing!

Original research on ABS-CBN News

[edit]

Would ABS-CBN News articles be considered original research if they will announce a series also created by ABS-CBN affiliates like Dreamscape Entertainment?

Example sources: https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/movies-series/2025/2/10/-saving-grace-the-untold-story-trailer-launched-online-to-air-on-free-tv-this-march-1256

Isn't ABS-CBN News a first-party source? 139.135.79.138 (talk) 06:56, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your question seems to be ill-formed. Original research, as something we Wikipedia editors are not supposed to do, is different from what external sources may or may not do.
It is certainly the case that an article announcing a new series has to be treated as a primary source; it is not independent reporting. A news story could be independent reporting if it contains significant coverage of an upcoming series, but it would not be an announcement of that series. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 07:07, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you I used this article but a user said I can't use this because it is part of wikipedia no original research policy so I got confused. Does that mean I can add this as a reliable source even on a series article that is produced by ABS-CBN owned production companies? 139.135.79.138 (talk) 07:26, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
