About me
[edit]- My focus is on contemporary composers and performing groups of the "Electric North": current generation music and mixed-media creators emerging from the North of England.
- I've a particular interest in composers, musical artists, and groups in the genres of spectral and post-spectral, post genre, electroacoustic, and some post minimalism.
- I would like to start introducing a focus on composers emerging from left-field schools or fields (such as acoustic distortion orientated composers, prevalent in events such as HCMF, emerging through graphic design or noise core).
To do
[edit]- Legacy of City of Culture 2017: focus on artists or groups emerging from or benefiting from the legacy of the project.
- New wave Manchester and Salford (The White House, Manchester Collective, etc).
- Rise and influence of post-genre in the UK (e.g. impact of Non Classical, PRAH, New Amsterdam Records, Bedroom Community Records, Rarescale).
