Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a 2009 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar Leeds for the Nintendo DS. It follows Huang Lee, a young Triad member, as he becomes caught in a power struggle amongst Triads while attempting to recover a gift from his deceased father. Like previous Grand Theft Auto games, players freely roam the open world on foot or in a vehicle. Chinatown Wars features a scaled-down version of Grand Theft Auto IV's (2008) Liberty City presented from an isometric perspective, reminiscent of the top-down perspective of the original Grand Theft Auto (1997) and Grand Theft Auto 2 (1999), and players use the DS's touchscreen to manage and use items.
