In my spare time, I like to pursue recreational aviation sports, such as paragliding and skydiving. I also like drinking beer.
WikiFauna
The species of WikiFauna I identified most with during my more active period(s) on Wikipedia were the WikiOgre, WikiGoon, WikiSloth, WikiOtter and WikiWizard. Hence, I used to consider myself a WikiPlatypus. But nowadays I can only be described as a WikiSloth.
Essentially, I only revert vandalism or correct obvious errors when I happen to come across it while browsing Wikipedia.
I can no longer be arsed to work hard on improving articles, only to see them getting messed up again.
I no longer spend time looking for new users and welcoming them; let the Welcoming Committee do that, that's what they're for.
I'm done arguing with point-pushers who "guard" articles they think they own and/or must protect. Trying to reason with such zealots is a waste of time.
I liked making userboxes, but have since forgotten how to do that and I honestly can't be bothered to look it up again. However, I do remember it's easy as hell. So I'd encourage you to go ahead and make your own userboxes. Seriously, it's really simple.
I no longer patrol recent changes, I have better things to do.
Current projects
Not much. Just the occasional correction (usually spelling or grammar, sometimes factual) or vandalism revert when I happen to spot something.
I fixed the Hard Rock Cafe article, particularly the list of Hard Rock Cafes was a mess in need of a good, thorough cleanup. For a while I kept a sharp eye out for new erroneous edits to the list, but I've walked away since.
Toying around with userboxes. I occasionally created my own (free for everybody else to use too) but I was also willing to make userboxes on request when asked nicely.
Checking articles related to time and time zones. Common errors (which you might still help fixing, which is why I keep listing them here) are:
Writing "daylight savings time" is incorrect. It should be either "daylight saving time" or "DST". In the latter case, the first occurrence should be written in full with "(DST)" appended to it.
The "Time in (insert country)" articles are often poorly written.
GMT is deprecated. In most cases, UTC should be used instead.
UTC offset wikilinks are often misformatted, resulting in unnecessary redirects.
