Punto Switcher is a freeware computer program for Windows and Mac OS X.{{citation needed}} It is designed to detect whether the user is typing in English or Russian and to automatically switch to the appropriate keyboard layout.{{citation needed}}

As the user types, Punto Switcher statistically analyzes the keys that were pressed.{{citation needed}} If the distribution of two-symbol pairs appears untypical for the current input language, Punto Switcher switches input languages, emulates Backspace key presses to erase the phrase, and types it again using the correct keyboard layout.{{citation needed}}
