ForeWord is an American bi-weekly trade review magazine devoted to literature published by independent and university presses.[1] Founded in 1998 in Traverse City, Michigan, it was created to "cover the rapidly growing independent, alternative, university, and self publishing industries."[2] According to their website, ForeWord Reviews is "distributed quarterly to 7500 librarians and booksellers and is also available at most Barnes & Noble newsstands and by subscription."[2] In 2001, it
