From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vladislav (Władysław) Franzevich Krajewski (1841-1901)[1] was one of the personal physicians to Russian Czar Nicholas II[2][3], and a trainer of George Hackenschmidt (according to Hackenschmidt's autobiography, The Way to Live[4]). Referred to as "Vladislav von Krajewski" in Hackenschmidt's autobiography, he was born in Poland, but lived in St. Petersburg, where he kept a large, private gymnasium in which he trained many of Russia's weight lifting champions, and where he was known as a strength training expert[5].
