Universality and Scaling

Introduction

[edit]

The class of hamiltonians that describe the evolution of quantum particles, yielding the same dynamics and solutions in certain domains of dynamical variables are said to exhibit universality in certain parameters. For example, for the same shape parameter of different localized potentials, the dynamics of high-energy quantum particles is the same. This can also be mathematically seen from a WKB approximation. *to be expanded*

Resonance phenomenon

When can we expect universality?
