While the term is somewhat ambiguous, it's often described using the quantum operation formalism, also known as a quantum dynamical map. Not all quantum processes can be explained by standard models. In theory, the state of a quantum system can change in any way over time.[1][2] Similarly, the human brain, which may have some quantum aspects, doesn't always follow simple rules and might change in complex and unpredictable ways, allowing for more flexible thinking and behavior.
