Last Call is an all-male a cappella group at Cornell University.
History
[edit]Formed in 1993, Last Call's repertoire includes a wide variety of music ranging from pop and alternative to country and classic oldies. They take tours every year to different parts of the country, and are often found performing around the Cornell campus and greater Ithaca area. In 2002, Last Call took second place at the ICCA competition in New York City and were featured in a performance on the Today Show.
Only four years after its creation, Last Call produced its first CD, Vested Interest. The album incorporated humorous, entertaining skits along with excellent music, a combination that has become a staple of the group's personality.
Their fourth album, Straight Up, was released in 2004 and brought the group to a whole new level with several award-winning tracks. Three different songs won awards from Collegiate A Cappella review organizations.
Last Call's sixth album, Flair was released in April 2010 in conjunction with their 15th anniversary concert, Straight Up XV. The album's lead track, (Don't) Give Hate a Chance was selected to be featured on the 2010 Voices Only A Cappella collection.
