My name is Kay, and I am a Wikipedia Intern at Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum, contributing to the Wikipedia and the Aotearoa NZ Histories Curriculum project. I am currently in my second year studying Law and Politics at the University of Auckland.
As part of this project, I am working alongside a cohort of Wikipedia interns to create, edit, and enhance Auckland’s local history and suburb pages. This initiative supports the Aotearoa New Zealand Histories Curriculum, ensuring that Wikipedia becomes a valuable and accessible learning resource for teachers and students across Tāmaki Makaurau.
I'm passionate about military history, video games, cooking, music (both playing and listening), and golf. Through this internship, I am excited to develop my research and writing skills while making New Zealand’s local histories more accessible to the public.
