BR-471
BR-471
[edit]BR-471 is a Brazilian federal highway located in the extreme south of the country. It begins in Soledade, passes through the city of Pelotas [1], and ends in Chui [2], which is the southernmost brazilian city. Between the city of Canguçu [3] and the Quinta district of Rio Grande city, it shares its path alongside with the BR-392 highway [4] through 127 km (79 mi). It presents quite different road conditions, from completely precarious to excellent conservation state. The sections comprised between Santa Cruz do Sul [5] and Pântano Grande [6] and between Canguçu [7] and Quinta present excellent pavement quality, since these sections are under private administration. Even though the range comprised between Quinta and Chui is under DNIT administration [8](brazilian department of transportation ifra-structure[9]), the pavement contiditon in this stretch is also satisfactory.

- Encruzilhada do Sul
- Canguçu
- Morro Redondo
- Pelotas

Total road legth is 631,5 km (392,5 miles)
