RBB Architects is a design and architecture firm specializing in healthcare architecture. It is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in Sacramento and Oakland. The firm was founded in 1952 by Ephraim Baran and Fred Rochlin. [1][2] Its principal architects are Joseph Balbona, Deneys Purcell, Arthur Border, Sylvia Botero, and Kevin Boots.
The firm has won awards for its healthcare, corporate, and residential designs. In 2010, the firm won the Marvin Black Award from the Associated General Contractors of America for its work on Mission Hospital (Mission Viejo, California)[3]. Also in 2010, the Frankel House, which the firm designed in 1961, was honored by the Los Angeles Conservancy[4]. In 2009, the firm was ranked 14th on Architect Magazine's list of "Top 100 U.S. Architecture Firms."[5]. The firm has won numerous design awards from the American Institute of Architects.
