Kathe Ann Gogolewski, born Kathe Ann Schneider, is the author of several books, including two adult fiction novels, A Promise to Keep and Flight of the Gryphon, both written under the pen name of Ann Durand. Flight of the Gryphon is due for release from Double Dragon Publishing in 2006 and A Promise to Keep is currently available from the same publisher. She also wrote one middle grade fantasy adventure, TATO, available at Wings Press under her real name. She has won awards for her short stories and poems, which are seen frequently in magazines and ezines.

The author taught elementary school in the West Contra Costa Unified School District for a number of years before retiring early in 2001. With the intention of writing full-time, she moved south with her husband, Ray, but did not account for the lure of the school bells in the elementary school across the street from their new home. Soon, she was volunteering in the school teaching science and writing to fourth and fifth graders. Now she writes and teaches part-time.

Gogolewski wrote a curriculum guide for teachers to go with her book, TATO. The guide includes an integrated language arts and science curriculum. She visits classrooms throughout California demonstrating lessons from her guide and reading TATO to the children.

Gogolewski teamed up with four other authors recently to produce a series of audio classes for writers, which include three threads: Writing, Promotion, and Technology for the Writer.
