I've chosen to evaluate this article to improve the fact based knowledge about electricity as well as to add additional credible sources or missing information.

  • Does the Lead include an introductory sentence that concisely and clearly describes the article's topic?
    • The introductory sentence accurately describes what electricity is and the concluding sentences in the first section are a good summary of the important role of electricity in society. The next section goes on to explain more about the history of electricity.
  • Does the Lead include a brief description of the article's major sections?
    • There is a "Content" section that links to the main headings throughout the article. However, they are not noted as "major sections."
  • Does the Lead include information that is not present in the article?
    • The lead includes insight into the industrial revolution but doesn't present any other historical information about its involvement in the development of electricity.
  • Is the Lead concise or is it overly detailed?
    • A majority of the information seems to be in a concise order.

    • The "Electromagnetic Wave" section is underrepresented in comparison to other sections.
    • The "Cultural Perception" section could also use more information if possible.
  • Does the article attempt to persuade the reader in favor of one position or away from another?
    • No, not at all.

    • Yes.

    • The article includes images for almost every single topic mentioned.

    • Yes, it seems all images have captions and relay back to the information provided.

    • I believe so.
  • Are the images laid out in a visually appealing way?
    • Yes.

    • There is little conversation on the talk page. There are two submissions, each of which were not approved.
  • How is the article rated? Is it a part of any WikiProjects?
  • How does the way Wikipedia discusses this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class?
    • Electricity as expressed in class has mentioned that the creation of electricity generated new ways for society to evolve. Social change created many technological inventions.

    • The article is overall in very "good" condition. It may need additional information added but existing information seems to be accurate.

    • The article is strong with demonstrating the types of electric charges there are and the science behind electricity.

    • The article can be improved by talking about the discovery of electricity and what having control over it led to within society.
  • How would you assess the article's completeness - i.e. Is the article well-developed? Is it underdeveloped or poorly developed?
    • The article is well-developed. It can use improvements or additions about its effects on society over time since the page is not as recently updated.
