Kamloops Fire Rescue is the second oldest established fire department in British Columbia, Canada. Kamloops Fire Rescue services a population of approximately 85 000 covering an area of 311 sq km (120 sq m) and is protected with six fire halls. Three halls staffed by full time IAFF members, One composite fire hall staffed by two full time IAFF members and auxiliary fire fighters, and two fire halls manned by auxiliary fire fighters. A seventh fire hall is being constructed and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2011. Kamloops Fire Rescue consists of a membership of 6 administrative staff, 1 secretary (CUPE), 1 GIS technician (CUPE), 120 members of IAFF Local 913, and 45 auxiliaries.
