The Battle of Fuchū Castle was fought between the armies of the Chōshū Domain and the Matsuyama Domain between the 1–2 of November 1864 during the prelude to the Boshin war.

Following a defeat at the hands of the Matsuyama at Bingo Silver Mine, the Chōshū had been chased back to Fuchū but the defense was unbreakable. The Matsuyama had quickly been defeated. The Matsuyama had agreed to become a vassal of the Chōshū Domain as a result like the Tsuwano had.
