Hi Jappalang. I have now closed the peer review for the Ragnar Nurkse's balanced growth theory article, as I felt that most of the concerns you raised were sorted out. I'll soon nominate it for GA status.
But... please feel free to look at the article once more and let me know if you think anything else should be changed. I would be happy to know your thoughts. Thank you for all the constructive criticism! It helped so much! :) Regards Abhilasha369 (talk) 06:05, 28 September 2011 (UTC) |

Article | Category | My work | Pre-edit quality | Post-edit quality | First edit | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ninja Gaiden | Console game | Massive cutdown of "gameguide" and "fancruft" materials. Rewrote following WP:VG/GL, expanded on real world information, merged Ninja Gaiden Black and Sigma, and created new screenshots. Thanks to Mika1h and Geoff B for their help. Through our efforts, the article was judged to be of GA and A class. However, I stopped watching and maintaining the article around September 2009 after tendentious editors began popping up to promote their preferred console against policies. Eventually, the article was delisted in June 2010 of its previous qualities. | ||||
Tomonobu Itagaki | Video game personality | Expanded on Itagaki's relevant gaming industry information. | ||||
Master of Magic | Computer strategy game | Cut down the "gameguide" and "fancruft" elements of the article. Rewrote following WP:VG/GL, expanded on real world information, and created the screenshots. | ||||
Project Sylpheed | Console Square Enix game | Cut down the massive "fancruft", rewrote following WP:VG/GL, expanded on real world information, and sourced the screenshots. Article is also GA class. | ||||
FreeSpace 2 | Computer game | Initial article was mostly on the FreeSpace 2 Source Code Project. Moved it to its own article, and wrote entirely new article on the game. Created the screenshots and animated GIF. | ||||
FreeSpace 2 Source Code Project | Computer game | Created to preserve information previously in FreeSpace 2. Slight copyediting, and insertion of sources on license issues. | ||||
Descent: FreeSpace | Computer game | Eliminated "gameguide" and "fancruft" elements of the article. Rewrote following WP:VG/GL, expanded on real world information, and created the screenshots and animated GIF. | ||||
Freelancer | Computer game | Massive cutdown of "gameguide" and "fancruft" materials. Rewrote following WP:VG/GL, expanded on real world information, and sourced the screenshots (one old screenshot is reused). Thanks to ZFGokuSSJ1 for helping to tidy up the article. | ||||
Space Hulk | Computer strategy game | Rewrote article and added sources. Sourced more development information and wrote the Reception section. Created the screenshots. | ||||
Giants: Citizen Kabuto | Computer game | Cut down the "gameguide" and "fancruft" materials. Sourced and rewrote following WP:VG/GL. Created screenshots and animated GIF for the article. Thanks to the suggestions and help offered in its FAC, article attained the FA class. This article was Today's Featured Article for 2009-03-05. | ||||
Naomi | Japanese novel | Copyedited according to WP:MOS and guidelines of WP:NOVELS. Touched up the lead. Did nothing to content. Credit for content should go to Hongseungill. | ||||
Karas | Japanese animation | Redid the whole entire article including images (previous state was very in-universe). Followed guidelines including those of WP:MOS-ANIME. Article style is partly inspired by Madlax. | ||||
Conan | Console game | Expanded every section and total creation of the development. Added screenshots. This article would never have made FA without AnnaFrance, who selflessly improved the language of the article before and during the FAC process! | ||||
Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge | Railway suspension bridge | Just about everything. The only thing reused were the gauge information and Featured Picture. Many thanks to Jaxmrclean for later providing valuable corrections and suggestions off-Wiki. This article was Today's Featured Article for 2008-10-07. | ||||
Toa Payoh ritual murders | Singapore murder case | Everything. This is a case that has fascinated me since my youth, and I finally brought myself to bring it up here. Big thanks to Brianboulton for the copyediting and all the reviewers at its peer review for their advice! This article was Today's Featured Article for 2009-02-10. | ||||
Alisia Dragoon | Console game | Expanded every section, and total creation of the development and reception. Added screenshots. | ||||
Battle of Barnet | English military history | I have always been fascinated by wars and such, so... Which other battle can you find that involved a "Kingmaker" who was fighting for a king he had dethroned and reinstated, and against a king he had raised to the throne and deposed? This article would not have been FA, if not for the participants of its three reviews (MILHIST, peer, and A-class) and Scartol's red pen! | ||||
Battle of Bosworth Field | English military history | From Warwick and Ed to Henry and Dick! Many thanks again to EyeSerene for adding flavour to this piece and helping out at the FAC! | ||||
Sacrifice | Computer game | Massive cutdown of "gameguide" and "fancruft" materials. Rewrote to WP:LAYOUT and WP:VG/GL, expanding on real world information. Introduced new media. This article was Today's Featured Article for 2011-01-19. | ||||
Sword of Aragon | Computer strategy game | After identifying the previous version as a copyviolation, I rewrote it with accordance to policies and guidelines. | ||||
Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior | Computer action game | Massive rewrite: eliminated links to copyviolations, set structure according to policies and guidelines, and write in real-life material. Article is also GA class. | ||||
Barbarian II: The Dungeon of Drax | Computer action game | Massive rewrite: article was practically barren of real-life contents, other than review scores, at the start. You never know what you can find while searching for images of Maria Whittaker... for research purposes, to see if there are any CC-licensed images. She is not my type, anyways... Finding Brown's mention of Muybridge in a published interview was a coup for the search. | ||||
Lat | Malaysian cartoonist | Seriously, this is a cartoonist that break the mold in my book. He became a datuk because of his cartoons! How hardcore can you get? I love his books. Perhaps the reviewers are right, we all want something innocent and fun that we can no longer get back. The article before I touched it was practically unsourced; most of the information were from primary sources (Lat's books) or were probably original conjectures. Article was also A class. This article was Today's Featured Article for 2011-03-05. | ||||
The Kampung Boy | Malaysian graphic novel | Lat's best known work; nothing in my opinion captures the idyllic childhood like he did. Funny enough, I knew I have read it but I never had it in my collection... possibly I had done so in one of my schools' library? Article's previous state was mostly personal conjecture or descriptive of the book. A thank you to Awadewit for tightening up the prose. | ||||
Kampung Boy (TV series) | Malaysian animated series | A hoax about this television series was initially at Kampung Boy (the novel). An IP put in a request to create the article; the content was total bull (a story so ridiculous, it was an insult to the integrity of the work) but an administrator accepted and fulfilled the request on the basis of WP:AGF... the hoax persisted for years until someone dared to challenge it (I believe the mark of an admin in creating hoax content validates it in the eyes of others—an admin did it, so it must be okay somehow—hence no one did a thing until that challenger appeared); this incident perfectly illustrates a failing of this project. I got involved during my research on Lat, and managed to get the insulting content deleted. Now at least there is some encyclopaedic and true content here. Article was also GA class. | ||||
Battle of Towton | English military history | Fascinated with mediaeval warfare, I was hooked onto the Wars of the Roses by this image of the Battle of Towton, the frontispiece of Philip A. Haigh's The Military Campaigns Of The Wars Of The Roses; the hunt to investigate if the image is in the public domain took years but was very worth it! The attribution of the "largest and bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil" adds mystique to it. Article was also A class. This article was Today's Featured Article for 2011-03-29. | ||||
Tewkesbury Medieval Festival | Mediaeval re-enactment | Rewrote the article after identifying some parts as copyviolations: the article is small, as reliable sources are limited. | ||||
Conan the Barbarian (1982 film) | Action film | I actually began a rewrite for this article in 2010 (offline). At that time, it was in a terrible mess, basically a collection of unsourced information and original research. Sad to say, it only proves one thing for me. Articles in a bad shape tend to remain the same state or degrade even faster, attracting the same type of edits. Fortunately, this film is a controversial cult classic and many reliable sources are available (much time was spent to dig them out). Burn-outs and personal issues dragged the writing of this article a bit. I really have to thank Yomangani for the selfless copy-editing of this article; it trimmed the article to a readable size. |
