Tennis at the Summer 2020 Olympics took place at the Ariake Tennis Park in Tokyo, Japan. [1] Five events take place here, which are men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. [1]
Summary
[edit]In men's singles, Alexander Zverev of Germany received gold medal after defeating Karen Khachanov of Russia, 6-3 6-1, which placed Khachanov in second for silver.[2] In men's doubles, Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavic from Croatia defeated Marin Čilić and Ivan Dodig 6-4 3-6 10-6.[3]
For women's singles, Belinda Bencic from Switzerland took the gold over Markéta Vondroušová from Czech Republic 7-5 2-6 6-3.[4] In women's doubles, Barbora Krejčíková and Katerina Siniaková from Czech Republic beat Belinda Bencic and Viktorija Golubic from Switzerland 7-5 6-1.[5]
In mixed doubles, Andrey Rublev and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova from ROC defeated Elena Vesnina and Aslan Karatsev also from ROC 6-3 6-7 (5) 13-11.[6]
