Sociological Science is a continuous, peer-reviewed, open access scientific journal covering all aspects of sociology. It was established in 2014 by Ezra Zuckerman (MIT Sloan School of Management) and the journal's editor-in-chief, Jesper Sorensen (Stanford University), along with six deputy editors (one of whom is Zuckerman). The journal also has a panel of 43 sociologists who serve as the journal's consulting editors. It was established with the aim of publishing articles very quickly. For instance, the journal responds to authors who submit articles to it to tell them whether they will be published within 30 days of submission, whereas older, traditional journals tend to take longer to inform authors about publication decisions.[1]
