Death

[edit]

The officer on duty, Arkadiusz Denkiewicz, instructed the militiamen to beat Przemyk in such a way that there would be no marks left on his body.[1]

Przemyk's mother testified that she recalled him lying sideways on a couch at the hospital, while covering his stomach, and his blood was coming out of his mouth. She quickly realized that he was unconscious, but said that she did not realize how serious his condition was at the time. An unidentified man gave her a referral to a psychiatric hospital for her son, but she commented that it did not look like a medical referral at all. She read the paper and discovered that one of the reasons listed on it was that Przemyk did not follow orders at the police station, and she declined to take her son to the psychiatric hospital.[2]

Investigation

[edit]

It is unclear whether or not the Security Service ordered the killing of Grzegorz. According to Grzegorz Wołk, the actions of the militiamen were very likely completely unplanned since the Security Service would have carried out the murder "in a more professional manner".[3]
