The 1944 Allied Offensives in France were a series of large-scale offensive operations conducted by the Allied forces between May 14 and June 28 1944 which resulted in the collapse of the Communard military and the ultimate end of Internationale resistance in Continental Europe. Following the failure of the Internationale offensives into Spain earlier that year as well as the Entente landings in Southern France and Italian attempts to link up with the landing forces, the Internationale was spread thin in Europe.
