The Revival of Metalbane is an ongoing event that began in 1945, and is taking place in the capital city of Metalbane, in the Federal Corporatocracy of Candinebra. After 50 years of near political stillness, an outbreak of equipment failure caused a majority of the city's population to become victims of serious internal steam burns. This outbreak was followed up by the rest of the surviving population rebelling against the current corporatocratic government that is responsible for the manufacturing, quality assurance and distribution of all technology in Metalbane, as well as other smaller communities inside Candinebra. Currently, nearly all of Metalbane has been sealed off from the public. Due to this, the majority of Metalbane is entirely disconnected from the surface. The exposed section of the city is called "The Commune", where the upper class resides. The sealed-off section contains 2 districts, known colloquially as "The Factory", and "The Shafts". It is not entirely known what happens below The Commune, as the people who reside in the district are under Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Recently, large amounts of government documents and books that pertain to the function and people of The Factory and The Shafts have been redacted. Even though almost all entrances to the lower districts have been sealed via welding and vitrification, One large vault door that opens to The Factory is still in operation. The door serves as Metalbane's means of product distribution, since The Factory is where all of Candinebra's technology is manufactured. This door is heavily safeguarded by the Communal Directorate of Asset Protection And Population Regulation. (CDAPAPR)
Candinebra is minimal when it comes to international connection, and has had it's landmass erased from the World Map for unknown reasons.
