The One Dimensional Hénon Map is a flattening of the Hénon map into one dimension through substitution.

x_{n}=1-ax_{n-1}^{2}+bx_{n-2}

It is useful for analysis of the standard Hénon map as it has only one dimension. This also aids in exploring the complex extension of the original map.
