User:ArthurTheGardener
Hello! I'm Arthur, a retired English teacher, occasional guitarist and lover of sci-fi, fantasy and horror. I used to have a Wikipedia account many years ago, but lost the password, as well as the knack. Trying again in a different vein (between visits to the allotment!). I'm recently divorced, with two sons (one living in the States) and a teenage daughter with autism. For the past six months I've been caring for my elderly father.
My username is a reference to the title of a song by indie band TV Personalities.
I speak reasonably good German, schoolboy Italian and pretty decent holiday French, although I don't think I'm up to translating (yet).
I'm drawn primarily to copy-editing and correcting spelling and grammatical errors, adding citations to articles, and expanding articles on my favourite authors (mostly of sci-fi, fantasy and horror), as well as expanding articles on various kinds of flora. I'm still finding my feet, so feel free to tell me if you think I'm going wrong.
I'm a keen amateur photographer, too, though I doubt many of my pictures will make it onto here!
