Introduction

[edit]

Hello, I'm Alexandra Bowes-Lyon. I am a new Wikipedian and look forward to the guidance of veteran Wikipedians.

Prior to the creation of this account, I have been researching a Japanese company called, Kenja K.K., which I found had no Wikipedia page. This led to me stumbling upon quite a few conflicting, unrelated information until I found the correct sources to read through. I then had the thought to create the company page as well as the CEO's myself since I already had the necessary information. I'll likely be creating more pages in the future that are related to the technology industry in general when I have a better understanding of Wikipedia through the creation process of the Kenja page and Ted Katagi page.

Sincerely, I appreciate any and all help that I can get on this new journey. Thank you!

Kenja K.K.

Kenja is a blockchain-enabled content management system (CMS) platform and digital transformation (DX) solutions company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.[1] Its core product, Kenja Rooms, is a CMS platform that is integrated with blockchain technology since 2020.[1] Kenja Rooms can also be used as a certification software which the company calls, “Visual Trust Layer”, and has been used in the SDG/ESG, Retail, Finance, Compliance and Food sectors.[1][2]

Kenja K.K. (“K.K.” is an abbreviation for “Kabushiki Kaisha” and can be translated to “Co.”, “Ltd”, “Corp.” or “Inc.”) was founded by CEO Ted Katagi in 2011.[3][4] The company operates with a remote work culture.[5] The name Kenja is the Romanization of the Japanese word, "賢者", which is the noun for a "wise man" or a "sage".[6]

Products

[edit]

English Online is Kenja’s first product. It was an online meeting/webinar tool with a messaging function and online storage space which were divided into three parts: Webinars, Classrooms and Rooms. The product was released in 2011 and is defunct.[7]

Kenja Rooms is Kenja’s core product. It is a blockchain-enabled CMS platform with a customizable and configurable visual user interface that performs different functions (i.e. learning, webinars, storage, workflow, KPI Management) and can be integrated with products & services.[8] It is compliant with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and is ISO 27001 certified.[5]

Since 2022[9], Kenja Rooms can also be used as a certification software called the “Visual Trust Layer”[1] and has been used in the SDG/ESG, Retail, Finance, Compliance and Food sectors. In June 2022, the company announced their involvement in Halal certification and their alliance with two Halal certification bodies in Indonesia.[9]

Kenja Rooms has been offered since 2014 and remains in service today.[10][11]

iTDi is Kenja’s third product and was a Learning Management System (LMS). It was released in 2012 and is now defunct.[7][12]

IntellaMeet (formerly “Kenja Meeting”) is Kenja’s fourth product and was an online meeting tool based on WebRTC (HTML5) technology. It was initially released as “Kenja Meeting” and won the “Product of the Year” award by WebRTC World in 2016.[13] In 2017, it was renamed to “IntellaMeet Software”[14] or simply "IntellaMeet" and won its second “Product of the Year” award by WebRTC World that same year.[15]

Awards

[edit]

In 2015, Kenja was named one of the “20 Most Promising Collaboration Technology Solution Providers” by CIO Review.[16]

In 2016 and 2017, technology news site TMCnet announced that Kenja won the “Product of the Year” award by WebRTC World for IntellaMeet (formerly “Kenja Meeting”).[13][15]
