Anne Paterson (17 August 1923 - 16 September 2018) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]Her father was Andrew Ferguson Paterson (22 August 1887 - 8 February 1939), an engineer in the Royal Navy from Moniaive in Dumfriesshire. His father and Anne's grandfather was the artist James Paterson (21 August 1854 – 25 January 1932), known as one of the Glasgow Boys.
Her mother was Eileen Constance Hills (6 September 1899 - 1956) from Crimond in Aberdeenshire, the daughter of Robert Savi Hills. Andrew and Eileen married on 12 January 1921 at the Church of St. Mary and St. Peter in Montrose, Angus.[3]
Eileen Anne Paterson was born on 17 August 1923 at 178 High Street in Montrose.
She married Alan Duncan Wallace (4 February 1925 - 6 March 2004) of Glenalmond, Perthshire. He was the son of Dr. A. F. Wallace. They married at St John's Episcopal Church, Perth on 31 March 1951.[4]
