[edit]Norse mythology provides little background on Garmr and where he originated. The main source of information provided is included in The Poetic Edda, a book compilation of Norse Mythology.[1] Garmr is affiliated with the "destruction of forces".[1]
In Pop Culture
[edit]Garmr is featured in Marvels's Thor: Ragnarok which is the third movie in the series regarding Thor. Garmr appears in the movie as Hel's wolf whom she rides into battle with to fight Thor. Garmr is also one of the creatures you have to defeat in God of War, the video game.
