Born and raised in Italy, Grant is the daughter of American former basketball player Tyrone Grant, who relocated to Italy to play basketball, and Cinzia Giovinco, an Italian model.[1] She trained at the Piatti Tennis Center in Bordighera, before later moving to Orlando, Florida to train with the United States Tennis Association.[2][3] She has a younger brother called Tyson who is also a tennis player.[4] Her mother also acts as her manager.[5]

Junior career

In December 2022, Grant partnered Iva Jovic to win the doubles title at the Orange Bowl in Plantation, Florida.[6]

She won the final of the girls' doubles draw at the 2023 French Open as a fifteen year-old, alongside partner Clervie Ngounoue against the top seeds Alina Korneeva and Sara Saito.[7][8]

She reached a career-high ITF junior combined ranking of 12 achieved on 1 January 2024. That month, she won the 2024 Australian Open Girls' doubles title alongside compatriot Iva Jovic.[9] The pair also reached the final of the Girls' doubles at the 2024 French Open.[10]

Grant and Jovic won the Girls' doubles title at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships.[11]
