Tonye Rex Idaminabo FRSA is a Nigerian lawyer and entrepreneur who is the founder of African Achievers Awards. He is recognized for his contributions to the media and tech industries in Africa.[1][2]

Early life and education

Idaminabo was born in Nigeria and holds an LLM degree from Glasgow Caledonian University.[3][4]

Career

In 2011, Idaminabo founded the African Achievers Awards, he also co-founded the Young CEOs Business Forum and Reputation Poll International, where he serves as chief executive.[5][6][7] In the 2019 Nigerian House of Representatives elections in Rivers State, Idaminabo ran for a seat in Rivers State as a candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).[8]

Recognition

Idaminabo has been featured in Forbes as one of '30 Most Promising Entrepreneurs in Africa' he was nominated for the 2023 Forty Under 40 awards, and he was named among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans and others.[9][10][11] He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.[12]
