[edit]Hi, there is an issue with communes that were created after 1 January 2018, for instance Rives-du-Couesnon and Piré-Chancé. The reference used by this template (https://www.insee.fr/fr/statistiques/3681328) uses the territorial divisions as of 1 January 2018, so there is no data for newer communes. I tried to add another reference (the decree creating the commune, at légifrance) in the wikidata entry for Rives-du-Couesnon manually, but this is ignored by this template (but at least the population number is shown). At Piré-Chancé you can see what happens when there is no reference for the 1 January 2016 population number in wikidata. What would be a good way to solve this? I tagged the currently affected articles with Category:France articles requiring maintenance, they're under "w". Markussep Talk 07:58, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
The 2018 figures are out!
[edit]Hi there, INSEE has published its populations légales 2018 (Wikidata item: http://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q104619889) and the template should be updated accordingly - no more 2016 or 2017, but 1 January 2018. Thank you! --Edelseider (talk) 14:42, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- The new population data should be added in Wikidata first. Last year that was done with a bot in the first two weeks of 2020, when it’s ready we can update the metadata template. Markussep Talk 15:39, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks @Markussep: Is someone programming the bot right now? Happy new year, --Edelseider (talk) 08:02, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- Happy new year! Last year it was done by d:User:AVMbot, a bot operated by d:User:Albertvillanovadelmoral. I don't know whether he's going to do it again this year. Markussep Talk 21:30, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- I updated the template, Strasbourg's 2018 figure is shown now. Markussep Talk 11:14, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
language=fr
[edit]Could you please add language=fr
to INSEE (population_footnotes
)?-- Carnby (talk) 05:32, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
- Done, thanks for the suggestion. Markussep Talk 07:31, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
