- ... that the Hartington City Hall and Auditorium is a Prairie School design built at a time (1921–23) when the Prairie School was in decline and "stands as a progressive building in an otherwise conservative community"?

Well-written and well-sourced. The hook is supported by both online and offline sources. Free image. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 04:20, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Comments/discussion: Hook is over the limit at 215 letters. Also missing the phrase (pictured).
- How about this hook instead?
- ... that the Hartington City Hall and Auditorium (pictured) is a Prairie School design built when that style was in decline and "stands as a progressive building in an otherwise conservative community"?
- ... or does the ellipsis count in the characters as well? Thanks!

- This is my first time reviewing a DYK, so I don't know about the ellipsis. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 23:19, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well, that's only fair: it's my first DYK nomination. Thanks! --Frankie Rae (talk) 23:27, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- If the ellipsis counts, then perhaps:
- ... that the Hartington City Hall and Auditorium (pictured), a Prairie School design built when that style was in decline, "stands as a progressive building in an otherwise conservative community"?
- --Frankie Rae (talk) 01:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- I see in Wikipedia:Did you know/Additional rules#Other additional rules for the hook that the ellipsis doesn't count. As a result, I would prefer to use the middle hook rather than the last one. --Frankie Rae (talk) 19:30, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
