template

[edit]

please don't delete, i just created it and copied and pasted from the Capitol Corridor template and I am going to adapt it to the ACE.MYINchile 00:44, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A slot has been left for Milage, but no distances are given. this needs to be added. Because the ACE station articles are all stubs, I can't tell whether they are accessible.Tlantanu (talk) 02:22, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if they are accessible to persons with disabilities, i'm sure they are, but to tell you the truth, having the wheelchair symbol all over the place is annoying, in fact we should just label the ones that are not handicap accessible and note that otherwise unmarked stations are accessible or at least use the wheelchair symbol outside of the bullets for stations because we can't use transfer station symbols due to this.MYINchile 03:26, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If there are ADA compliant icons, we should use them, it doesn't hurt, or cause any clutter. It would be far worse to have the Disabled access icon on the sides. there are both transfer icons for ADA accepted and plain.Tlantanu (talk) 12:33, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are descriptions in the main article's route guide about highway crossings and rivers. there are icons for these. is it worth adding them?Tlantanu (talk) 12:36, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just think it looks bad and distracts from what should be a station icon, i wish the ADA icon could be like the ferry icon and be on the left hand side or something like that. yes it would be worth it to note highways and river/creek crossings, it would make the template look better and fall into line with the precedent set with other good rail templates. also caltrain stops at Santa Clara -southMYINchile 16:41, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Caltrain and VTA have switched spots so now caltrain goes to santa clara south. Tlantanu (talk) 22:32, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

can we make the stockton station have three platforms one on the left turning left for the san joaquins to pittsburg and another in the middle going forward/north/up toward lodi/sacramento?MYINchile 16:47, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

actually can you just fix the two platform system, i have confused that there are two Stockton stations and only the Bakersfield to Sacramento runs through Downtown/Cabral-StocktonMYINchile 17:05, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

could you fix my mistakes and add in the tunnel portion, and also the river.MYINchile 22:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

if the ace and the capitol corridor go on the exact same tracks or perfectly parallel, the highway crossings should be on both lines. do they go on the same tracks?Tlantanu (talk) 22:22, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The link is broken for highway 84Tlantanu (talk) 22:32, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The subtext is forcing the icons apart. I will change it.
ACE and Capitol Corridor use the same track yes so you are right. and i fixed the link for highway 84 i forgot to put in .svg. MYINchile 20:47, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Newark is also a forthcoming station for Capitol CorridorMYINchile 21:02, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(not) Highway 84

[edit]

A recent edit to Altamont Commuter Express points out that the part of First Street in Livermore that this line passes under is no longer designated as Highway 84; it seems like this template should be changed to reflect that.--NapoliRoma (talk) 13:37, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Connecting services parallel lines

[edit]

This is good looking template. It would be OK to just put the symbol for Amtrak and Caltrain at the connecting stations and have a singular line. One example is the Ventura County Line. Thanks Group29 (talk) 12:37, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The changes look even better than I imagined they would. Nice! Group29 (talk) 12:41, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
