Parameters
- importance – see #Importance assessment below.
- category – set
|category=noif, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.
Notes and alerts
- attention – set
|attention=yesif the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention. This parameter populates Category:Zimbabwe articles needing attention. - needs-infobox – set
|needs-infobox=yesif the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles. This parameter populates Category:Zimbabwe articles needing infoboxes. - needs-photo – to request that an image or photograph be added to the page.
- merge – set
|merge=yesor any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "This article is a candidate for Merge action with one or more other articles. If consensus to the merge action has been reached in the discussion below, please carry out the merge and remove this flag when done." This will populate Category:Zimbabwe articles needing merge action.

This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Rhodesia articles by quality based on the|class=parameter. - Rhodesia-importance – This parameter sets the importance of the article according to Rhodesia task force. It populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Rhodesia articles by importance. See #Importance assessment for valid values.

Classification of redirects and disambiguation pages
|class= parameter is not defined and the WikiProject banner is placed on the talk page of a redirect (in any namespace) or disambigation page then it will automatically be classified as follows:- Redirects will automatically be classified as Redirect-class and placed in Category:Redirect-Class Zimbabwe articles.
- Disambiguation pages will automatically be classified as Disambig-class and placed in Category:Disambig-Class Zimbabwe articles.
