Template:Hungarian settlement rank
Usage
{{{Hungarian settlement rank name|rang}}
Translates Hungarian-language words used to denote the size of a settlement into English. The input is not case-sensitive. The output has an initial capital (which can be easily made lowercase with {{lc:}}). Valid values are:

These values may also be supplied as input in [[square brackets]]. This is allowed because they are frequently so written in the Hugarian Wikipédia, so it allows easy copy and paste. The English Wikipedia does not have these topics as such, so it needs to be "unlinked". By allowing the square brackets, this can be done automatically by an English template that transcludes this template. The output is not then surrounded in square brackets.

[[Telekes]] is a {{lc:{{Hungarian settlement rank name|község}}}} in [[{{Hungarian county name|Vas}}]].
produces:
Telekes is a village in Vas County.
Maintenance
The choice to include an initial capital letter in the output is made from the fact it is easier to remove them it than to insert it. It also matches the standard case conventions for Wikipedia page names.
