University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law
[edit]- ... that the new University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law is the least expensive law school in Texas...?
- ALT1:... that the new University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law is housed in the historic Titche-Goettinger Building in downtown Dallas, Texas...?
- ALT2:
... that the new University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law is housed in the historic Titche-Goettinger Building before it moves to the nearby Dallas Municipal Building, which the school purchased for $1...? - ALT3:... that the new University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law, currently housed in the historic Titche-Goettinger Building, bought the nearby Dallas Municipal Building for only $1...?

- Article was expanded from a redirect on the same day of nomination and meets requirements on length, neutrality, sourcing, and plagiarism. Hooks are sourced inline and short, but not particularly interesting to a broad audience. I think the ALT1 hook could be improved by mentioning that the college is located in a historic department store building, or the $1 purchase of the Dallas Municipal Building. QPQ not required. - I added a new hook that I agree might appeal to a broader audience. ErieSwiftByrd (talk) 19:33, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- @ErieSwiftByrd: The new hook is too long. Has to be under 200 characters. SounderBruce 20:38, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- the new hook is now under 200 characters. ErieSwiftByrd (talk) 23:36, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
- ErieSwiftByrd, one of the hook sources, the bizjournal one (number 8) supporting the $1 purchase price, is a bare URL. This needs to be turned into a proper citation before the nomination can be approved. I've struck ALT2, because the sources I was able to read didn't say that its current building is being abandoned by the school when it occupies the Dallas Municipal Building. I'm suggesting a new ALT4, since I agree with SounderBruce that the Titche-Goettinger Building is a distraction from the main point:
- ALT4:... that the new University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law is set to expand into the nearby Dallas Municipal Building, which was bought for $1? —BlueMoonset (talk) 18:54, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- Proposing some more hooks:
- ALT5: ... that the least expensive law school in Texas bought the Dallas Municipal Building for $1?
- ALT6: ... that the least expensive law school in Texas had 33 graduates last year?
- ALT7: ... that the least expensive law school in Texas had the lowest bar passage rate in the state last year? --Usernameunique (talk) 04:16, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
- The ALTs proposed by Usernameunique look much better. I'd prefer ALT5 and ALT6 above all the others, though. SounderBruce 04:28, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
