  • ... that while in prison, Richard W. Meade (pictured) wrote a political pamphlet about rotten cheese? Source: "He wrote six different pamphlets in self-defense from 1812-1813, and one of them was called 'the Pastimes of Richard Meade', and these were written while he was in jail. This one is of particular interest because it was a sardonic response to an incident involving massive quantities of rotten cheese..." Portraits in Conversation, at 57m43s.
    • ALT1:... that merchant Richard W. Meade (pictured) was one of the first American collectors of European art? Source: "He gathered a choice collection of pictures and statuary which later formed the basis for one of the first private collections in America." • This interesting article is new enough and long enough. The image is in the public domain, the hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright/close paraphrasing issues. No QPQ needed. I like the original hook best, but either could be used. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:53, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
@Kim Post: I see that the article has a renaming proposal. If it does get moved to a new name, do not be tempted to try altering the name of this DYK template, as this will only muck things up. The fact that article and template names will no longer be identical is immaterial. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:40, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
