Exmoor pony
[edit]- ... that although fanciers of the Exmoor pony (pictured) claim it was purebred from an isolated wild population since the Ice Age, modern research shows they share much of their DNA with other breeds?

- This DYK hook is well over the 200 character cap. The hook needs to be trimmed down. Besides that, pretty much everything checks out. It achieved good status less than 5 days ago, has enough prose to meet the 1500 character minimum, is neutral, and does not contain any glaring copy vios. That being stated, several of the sources listed for the specific claim are no longer live on the internet. Address these issues, and the DYK will be good to go. - I've fixed the hook length; I was not responsible for the application of the sources, but I'll see if there's anything I can do about the issue concerning them. Spring in Wikipedia is lovely! Just avoid the articles on flowers... (talk) 16:44, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
