New enough (move into mainspace yesterday),
, long enough,
adequately and decently sourced, Earwig gives 8.3%,
article is presentable,
hook is correctly sourced,
hook is short enough,
I don't exactly think the hook is particularly engaging. The hook is fine, though if need be, I would suggest using the fact that the majority of plays during his Met tenure were in German, even those that were originally in another language.Image is fine,
required QPQ hasn't been doneQPQ has been done. All in all, mostly good @4meter4:, butyou ought to do your QPQ andI would prefer a more engaging hook. — Knightoftheswords 23:19, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Knightoftheswords281 The Ring Cycle is considered by many to be the pinnacle of opera composition/performance. It's a big deal that he staged the first Ring in the United States, so I disagree with you about the hook. It's probably his most significant achievement. I also already did my QPQ and posted it at the time of nomination. See above in the usual place.4meter4 (talk) 23:33, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- @4meter4: - sorry, I didn't see the QPQ. As for the Ring Cycle, upon doing more research, I do think that as a hook, it would be a lot stronger, but I'm still concerned with how much it would reach to a broader audience. I guess that's kind of the point of DYK however, so I'll change that as well.
Overall, I see no issues with the article. — Knightoftheswords 23:51, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks Knightoftheswords281. Since there are no issues, can you please add the approved symbol to your review? The bot won't acknowledge the hook is approved without it and move the hook through to the next step towards promotion. You can see the template codes for the DYK approval tick templates at Wikipedia:Did you know/Reviewer instructions#Finishing the review. Best.4meter4 (talk) 23:59, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
